Our Story

From the Air Force to the Pasture

Robertson Ranch is a first-generation, veteran-owned cattle operation in Lexington, Georgia — built from the ground up by one man with a vision.

While stationed in Italy with the U.S. Air Force, Jared Robertson purchased the land that would become Robertson Ranch. In 2022, stationed in Charleston, South Carolina, he started his herd with just three heifers and one bull. He's grown it slowly and deliberately ever since — every animal, every acre, hands-on.

In late 2025, Jared expanded the operation, adding land and acreage that allowed the herd to grow and the ranch to take its next step: bringing beef directly from the pasture to your table.

Today, Jared remains the sole owner and operator. No hired hands. No shortcuts. Just one farmer who knows every animal on his land by sight.

The Cattle

Simmental Genetics, Raised on Grass

Robertson Ranch runs Simmental bulls over a herd built on strong Simmental genetics, with select Angus influence. The breeding program is focused: continually improving the herd by bringing in higher-percentage Simmental cows with proven genetics.

The herd currently stands at 22 cow-calf pairs — and grows every year.
